DIRECTOR
STATEMENT
As a Jewish American, I grew up with a deep awareness of the Holocaust—not just as history, but as a moral warning. "Never again" was supposed to mean never again for anyone. But in the wake of October 7, I watched in horror as the Israeli government invoked Holocaust memory to justify the mass killing of Palestinians in Gaza—and claimed to act in my name.
Like many Jews, I refuse to let genocide be carried out under the banner of Jewish survival. This film is my act of resistance and remembrance. It centers the voices Israel hopes the world won’t hear: Holocaust survivors and their descendants who say, unequivocally, that what is being done in Gaza is a betrayal of everything the Holocaust should have taught us.
